Now onto the article!  Nashville Home Inspection - Nashville Basement Flood Damage - What's Wrong With This Picture?  5/10/10

HINT:  We're down in the basement.  Something doesn't look right.  What is it?

Nashville Flood Damage

ANSWER:  Check out the stain on the walls.  It's about 4' up from the floor.  Bad enough, but follow the stain around and see what else is within 4' of the floor. In this picture, electrical equipment.  Lots of it.  Panels, outlets, you name it.  Everything that got wet needs to be inspected by an electrician.  The same goes for HVAC, which is behind us in this picture.  See the pic below.

And on around the room below.  Not much here, except the electrical outlet.

And below the HVAC was partially submerged.  All this needs an inspection by an HVAC tech before using.

The Nashville floods of 2010 were devastating for many reasons.  Some make the evening news, some show up in subtle ways.
