4 Comments on Fit As A Fiddle? May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month
I taught aerobics (both hi and low), Spinning, Aquatics, Step, and Hip-Hop for 16 years before being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Then I switched to Yoga and Pilates. But I've been unable to teach for the last couple of years =( But I do enjoy walking. I think it's great that we can encourage fitness this entire month! I walked over 5 miles on Friday night. I have to force myself to take it easy, lest I overdo it with this blasted disease. I can't wait til I'm well enough to get back to teaching again. When you spend your entire adult life as a fitness instructor, there's no way to break free from that way of thinking. There's nothing better than the release of endorphins that make you feel so incredible when you get into the groove =D
Bryan - Thank you for the reminder. I need to start get back into Physical Fitness.
Lisa, so sorry to hear about the Fibromyalgia. But you seem to be a very active girl, so I hope you can get back to somewhere where you want to be on the exercise wheel. Good luck to you. You are a heavy blogger, so your fingers are healthy!
John, I started again today, and just finished sitting down in meetings for 5 hours. Ok, maybe I will start tomorrow.
Brian, reading this post is helping me stick to my healthy diet! It's a welcome change form the pig out restaurant reviews and other foodie posts (yes, I'm guilty of these) that we see here on Active Rain.
