Help Wanted: Need a Good, Affordable, Easy-to-Use CRM

By
Real Estate Agent with RSVP Real Estate

When I first got my real estate license I had an increadiable Contact Management System - 445 3x5 index cards handwritten with each contacts vital information.

Real Estate Contact Management The Old Way

I have also used Excel, ACT!, OutLook and now I am using TopProducer8i. There are several things that I like about TP8i and TONS MORE that drive me crazy!

The Market SnapShot is awesome! It is the main reason that I am still with TP8i. I love it and every client that I have signed up on it has commented on how great it is to see the information presented so compactly and easy to understand.

BUT everytime I log onto TP8i I feel overwhelmed. There is too much that can be done that I don't know where to start. Every couple of weeks I say "Ok, I am going to sit down and get all of TP set up and running the way it should."  After about 2 hours I have so many different things on my list to do in TP that I just throw up my hands and say "I will have to do this on my next week off"

It's time for me to find a SIMPLE - BASIC - EASY-TO-USE - AFFORDABLE Contact Mangement Solution. While the Bells and Whistles of TP8i are nice to have if you take the time to learn how to use them, I don't think I need all of those options.

I am looking for a program or website solution that allows me manage 750 contacts. It does need to be Real Estate focused (it's easier that way). I just need it to do the basics, nothing too complicated.

What CRM do you use and why?

The Active Agent Plug-in for Outlook is a good program that only charges a one time fee.

Why not just take a week off and learn TP instead of spending a week trying to find something else, and then having to learn that, and possibly finding that it's too simple for your needs.

Cameron - Thanks for that. I love Outlook so I will take a look at Active Agent!

Val - taking time "off" to learn TP8i might work, but part of my issue with TP8i is that I spend about $300 per month on it (Market SnapShot, Market Builder, LivePost, TP Website etc.) I just am not sure that I am getting a good ROI with it.

Hi Randy,

There are at least a few others that use Top Producer here on ActiveRain.  I know Margaret Woda wrote a blog post awhile back saying she was going to give it another shot and wanted to know if anyone wanted to kind of be an accountability partner with  her on it.  You might want to contact her and see if she is still using TP- she is here on ActiveRain.

Thanks for the post on RealtyJuggler, I am just bookmarking sites for now to do my research on them to see if it is worth getting or not for my brokerage here in Boise, Idaho.
