May 1: Sandpoint - Sandpoint Waldorf School Auction and Benefit. The Sandpoint Waldorf School announces the Coming Together: Moving Forward Auction and Benefit at 5:30 p.m. in the Sandpoint Events Center. The public is invited to join the school for a night of fun while giving back to our community! The event includes dinner, a no-host bar, live music, and a silent and live auction. Bid on items such as a condo in Hawaii, an Alaskan fishing trip and much more! This year the school is "coming together" to support families battling serious illness: five percent of auction profits will benefit Jacey's Race, and five percent will assist the Scott Daily family. Over 50 singers and 10 marimba players will have you snapping, clapping and singing along as they present "Gifts from Africa," at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church on Cody Street, in Bonners Ferry. The concert is a collection of African music and American music which exists only because of the music which has come to us through Africa. "TUIMBE!" ("Let's sing!" in Swahili) is a choir formed specifically for this concert series which is raising funds for a school in Tanzania.
