"I never worry about action, only inaction." Winston Churchill

It's funny sometimes. Fear can paralyze a person into doing nothing, when the smallest of actions can make all the difference. What is fear keeping you from doing, that a mere phone call could solve? If you want to know more about something, anything, make a call, take action.

If there is going to be regret, I would rather my regret be based on a choice I made, instead of inaction due to fear. Since life really just comes down to choices, mostly between choices of action or inaction, which stance would you choose?

Are there actions you have been meaning to take, that are procrastinated away to a "tomorrow" that never comes?

Allison: Good Post. Who was it that said, "there is nothing to fear but fear itself"? Fear is most always counterproductive. Thanks,   Fran

I am seeing a lot LO's and Realtors just sitting with a sad face on (I visit quite a few people) as opposed to developing new ideas to find business.

It's a shame.  They will not 'make it'.

Yesterday I told a mortgage consultant that I'm worried about August.... THIS MORNING, I told my owner/Prez that we are going to "kick arse" this month.  I have my plans made out....I only fall "out of the game" for brief moments.  I love chalenges and have no problem learning what I do not know.

Pass the phone.

Great post.  I've noticed in my business that the fear is usually unnecessary because when I get up and do something, I either see positive results or I have a good time doing it.  I just try to remember that every day.

Hi Fran- I completely agree, and I like that quote, but also can't remember who said it!

Hi Rob, You are so right about all the sad faces, and yet the saddest faces have the greatest amount of fear. My apologies, I could only find a red phone, but I am passing it to you. I have a feeling you know what to do with it!

red telephone

Hi Nathan- That's what I try to do too, remember the successes along the way. Great point

Thank you all for your comments!

Allison: The consensus in the office here is that FDR said it . We all better stick to what we know, and let the historians handle history. Thanks again.   Fran

Thank you Fran! A historian I am not, it's fascinating, but too many people said too many great things for me to remember them all, I will stick to what I know!

Inaction leads to no results.  Action leads to results, good or bad, but at least you have a result.

Allison: I am by nature a very serious person; but what has kept me going is not my seriousness but my sense of humor---never lose it. Thanks,   Fran

Great post - as usual from you! It was Winston Churchill..you would NEVER misquote anyone, you are too diligent to ever let that happen.

Excellent points, Allison. One of my favourite sayings is 'Step into your fear.'   There is also that acronym that I often remind myself of

                                  False

                                  Evidence

                                  Appearing

                                   Real

Great post - I think many agents tend to forget this lesson when the waters get rough!
