Maureen Bray, "Room Solutions Staging", Home Stager from Portland, Oregon (ActiveRain Member) writes and produces articles here on AR that are informative and beautiful to view, as well.

welcome stager

This particular article below features pictures that showcase the magic that Maureen can do with a property.  I don't think any prior articles/photos of Maureens that I have seen have done so more dramatically, IMO.  The end result is just stunning.

I re-blog this article as a way of making a point.  Obviously #1 is that Maureen is extremely talented and if in her area and in search of staging services, please contact her.  You'll be glad you did.

But, I also want to make the point that staging is an extremely wise action to take if selling your home ... or considering to do so.  Staging services can range from consultations to whole-house transformations and everything inbetween ... so don't hold back from inquiring about services.  There is something offered and possible to match your budget.

The advantages you learn and/or implement with staging can make the difference between finding the buyer you need or not.  It can also aid in finding them faster.

The proof?  You can see for yourself in these breathtaking photos.  A beautiful home is given a personality and a warmth that it did not have prior to Maureen's magic.  It almost shouts "Buy Me!".

Take a good look for yourself ... and then consider staging services for your own home!

Our Portland home staging company was recently hired to stage a beautiful luxury new home that's been on the market for 2 years without a sale.  The builder created a stunning masterpiece, but the real estate market was crashing just as construction was nearing completion.  The setting, location, and quality of this home are the very best ... but market forces diminished the buyer pool for a home like this in our area.

What to do?  Why, stage it of course ... so that potential buyers could imagine living in this home.  Staging helps emphasize the home's best features and architectural details, creates focal points, and provides a warm inviting "feeling" that buyers find they can connect to emotionally.   A person's largest investment is also a highly emotional one, since we humans buy a house not just for shelter but to provide a "home" where families grow and are nurtured, where dreams and memories are shared and encouraged.

Here are some Before and After photos of this gorgeous Portland home ... the staging helps buyers see themselves living here.

Dining rooms in particular evoke dreams of family and friends sharing a meal ... enjoying themselves.  With an empty room (no matter how nice the details) it's hard to get that "feeling" without a lot of creative thinking!

Gene, great staging by Maureen, and great photography by somebody.  The combination should help this one fly off the shelf!

Maureen:  Your definitely welcome .. my pleasure!  I hope it helps .. in many ways ...

Pat:  I totally agree.  I showed this blog to my wife and she just was floored by it.  Showing Maureen's work to her is dangerous.  My "honey do" list gets lengthy ...

Along with the staging, the photography is better as well. One thing that is nice is that the new images are left a little warm. It makes the home feel more like a home with a little warmth. Good photography will never sell a home, but it will keep potential clients interested.

Drew:  You make a great point.  As noted in a comment above, the photos draw you in and make you feel something.  The un-staged home seemed colder, more family un-friendly.  Me?  I'm a hack photographer.  But the person that took these photos definitely knew how to draw the best from the rooms and project positive feelings too. They might not be the deciding factor in the sale, but they certainly contribute greatly.  Thanks for your input and insight ...
