Yay! I am no longer a newbie. I just passed my two month mark on activerain and have gotten things down (well...I'm still drowning in information). Thanks to everyone who has helped me in my learning experience. I'm not done yet! I look forward to getting even more advice from the ar community.

Next step is the reformatted e-newsletter that I have been intimidated by. If you have any tips or advice, please add a comment or link to one of your articles. It'll be a great help. Thanks activerainers!

Congrats on the two months. Seems that time does fly by and we learn a lot from other agents. Wish we could discuss things this openly in our local offices... best to you...cm

Rachel, it's AUGUST 3rd (right?) and I haven't changed my calendars yet...still looking at the July kitties.  Yes, time does fly and even faster as we age.

I have been told that I MUST use  (switch to ) Constant Contact for my newsletters.  Thus far I have joined with a group and we publish a bi-monthly, plus I try to get a monthly out to realtors, but  I'm late this month (last month..whoops).  Melissa Marro has great information on newsletters if you haven't seen them, check out her site and blogs.

I'm interested in what others feel about Constant Contact.  I know that we can get a free 60 day trial but I'm too busy right now to venture into learning a new set-up /program.

Charles - Ha! How right you are about being open in the office. Lucky for us we have a small, close staff for all the necessary venting and a large support team scattered outside of the office to handle all of our solvable, serious issues.

Ginger - I have heard only great things about constant contact and haven't seen a bad newsletter hosted by them yet. I have also checked out Melissa's advice. She is one of the people who definitely deserve a big thanks! We have had a newsletter set up and have been paying for its service but were not happy with the average graphics. It isn't always easy working with our techies. We want it to be consistant with our branding and graphics. A little picky maybe?  Constant Contact is what everyone is raving about! It really seems so much easier. Good luck with your newsletter :)
