Which real estate blogger is an "Expert" in USA Weekend Magazine?

In the USA Weekend Magazine front cover story "DO YOUR HOME WORK, Experts reveal how you can find bright spots in today's grim market." a blogger many know from ActiveRain and her excellent local real estate blog did a double feature as a real estate expert.

Who? Maureen Francis!

The article covered Five 'brutal" Realities of selling in the current market.

In Reality 2 "American's have overdosed on home equity borrowing" Walecia Konrad, MoneySmart contributing editor shares the word Maureen coined for when owners have to rent their homes, while selling them "Sell-Lord." A sanitized version of Maureen's story of the nervous Great Dane at a Sell-Lord's property is also included. I prefer the earthier version of the Great Dane story as I read it on her blog.

Also as Maureen shares on her MI Oakland County blog, she and Dmitry were the listing agents in the Reality 5: The trade-up you've dreamed of now may be within reach.

Yes, Maureen and Dmitry sold a house in 6 days... in December... in Michigan... in 2006 to get their clients into the home of their dreams. Now that's expert marketing.

I've always wanted to meet Maureen Francis....I am going to save my copy of the USA Weekend (July 27 - 29) and get her autograph on it when I track her down.

Maureen.... this is awesome. I need to see who has a copy of USA today. I was busy last Friday and never had a chance to get a copy. And Congrats to Maureen Francis. Thanks for sharing this.

Two over priced homes and both came down.???

OK my home is over priced so I will lower it. Now I can buy the other over priced home.

I did not see the statement "We lost money on the sale,". I guess it was price correctly and that they 'chose' to lose money. Sorry.

MF: That was nice of Kristal to turn the journalist on to your successes. Did Kristal work with the buyers in Denver who are part of Reality #1? The couple who moved from Wales Wisconsin to Detroit? I guess they were part of Reality #3 as well, they rented out the house in WI.

I don't know if I ever said "congratulations." Congratulations on the sale, I remember when you blogged about it thinking "How'd they do that?" Actually it was probably more like "how the heck did they do that?" Good business.

I skim so bad when I read, I had read that article on Sunday when it came out in the Columbus Dispatch but I missed the mention of Maureen Francis until I saw it on her website. I read the Reality 5 which is her clients but makes no mention of her and Dmitry being their listing agents.

I saw Mary Pope-Handy quoted in Inman today! It is a small world.
