Head Downtown this Saturday, May 15th, to join in the festivities of the Potato Festival in Elizabeth City, NC. This event is held annually and is all day, family-friendly entertainment. Events include a 5K Race, Potato Peeling Contest, Tater Tot Beauty Pageant, Anything But Fries Cooking Contest, a Rubber Duck Race down the Pasquotank River, and the N.C. Govenor's Cup Moth Boat Race.

Janet:  Yum... I sure do love potatoes.  So... the question is... can I get to Elizabeth City fast enough to enjoy the Potato Festival ?  Unfortunately, I think not.

By the way... I see you are New to Active Rain... so... Welcome to Active Rain.  I also see that in writing this post... that you are not aware of the Active Rain feature of being able to submit each post to as many as five Active Rain groups... so more people will see it, and hopefully comment on it.
