The Power of Listening = Another Successful Closing! The Power of Listening = Another Successful Closing!

Today, we closed another successful transaction with the clients who walked through the door after hearing the local radio broadcast highlighting Prado Real Estate in St. George, Utah. Local Radio Advertising Dead? Think again! I feel lucky to have been the person who greeted them and welcomed them to southern Utah!

Do you listen to your clients, I mean -really listen- when they open themselves up to you?

I do.

I ask about hobbies, passions, interests in their spare time. The questions really do go beyond the features of a home, location or specific information regarding a piece of property. It is important to take the time to get personal because the relationship you form with clients will be based on trust, confidence, loyalty and care.

I found that my clients love to refurbish old houses, so I started looking at properties that might have fit their criteria. Mind you, there weren't many available properties that fit the description in this area but one just happened to be in their price range and was a fixer-upper!

We put in an offer, found ourselves in a multiple offer situation, offered the highest and best and we closed today! And our clients are thrilled!

Great results, I'd say, come from the Power of Listening! The Power of Listening = Another Successful Closing!

Wanda,
Great advise.  Listening is link to learning and since much of our learning depends on listening, paying attention is something we all should continue to work on.  Oh, by the way, congratulations on getting your transaction to a successful closing.

When I can give my clients more than they ask for, then that is when I know I did my job well. Thanks Dee!

Hi Toula, I get pretty excited but have learned to just let the client(s) speak and then...tune in and listen.

Listening and asking questions leads to some common ground.  You need to develop some rapport if you are going to work well together as a team.

Thank Jenny, It is necessary to let their input be a guide to finding what they want.

Thank you Gabe! Being a good listener gets the clients to their destination quicker with less u-turns or getting off-track.
