I am competitive, and like to win when I play...oh, I know how to play nicely and congratulate the winner, but then I go home and try harder for the next time.  Is 36% of all Sales good enough for anyone?  Parents and Scholars, Coaches, everyone always said try your best-work hard and you will get 100% next time.  But can we realistically get 100%?

Last week I was preparing a new Marketing Pieceto show Sellers the current stats for sales in "My" area. Yes, I claimed it years ago, and I have stayed with this area even though our sales are down 90%. This morning I wrote a Post on a client's eval of my performance-unfortunately he wasn't satisfied.  Am I??? Would you be???

Below is the chart I sent my client, the same one we compiled a couple weeks ago...at first I thought ONLY 36% are my sales?  But then I considered all the other agencies out there, and heck I didn't do so bad after all......in Today's Market.

When I think of only selling 4 properties in 6 months, WHO SOLD the other 7 -you had Re-max, ERA, Century 21, GMAC, Exit, Coldwell Banker, and all their agents, plus the smaller companies....guess I didn't do too bad after all...

Here's a list of small, easily obtainable goals:

  1. I used to have 50% or more of the Market......I need 14% more to regain "My" share.
  2. The Market turned, and the Realtors from Orange County, and other areas, aren't as quick to run out here for a measly $60,000 lot........bingo.....I Did , I do, and I will.......
  3. I love to write my newsletter, and somehow I will get more printed for all the people that didn't receive one, as well as posting it on-line.
  4. Keep cases of Water in the car......it's very hot here.......and that is the first thing I did when meeting someone that called on a sign, was to give them some Water.......don't want them passing out on me before we see all the properties :)
  5. Get new pictures....loving photography I should have some new ones by now.....same ole" Beautiful Mountain, same ole" scrub brush, same ole dirt.........same ole' snow......Sorry but we don't have green grass, or beautiful landscapes
  6. Improve my websites and SEO and Learn about RSS
  7. Hire a Professional for Marketing on-line

OLD Pictures.......See what I mean-no color, no excitement; but hey I sell Dirt, how exciting is that :)

Reminder to Self: Keep doing what worked before, Change what isn't working NOW, and Start EVERY DAY as a new one.....Today I will have a good day, and Today I will  remember why I like Real Estate so much......it's all about the People and the Freedom, being able to go outside and enjoy the day......that is what motivates me.

so yep the challenge is on...., and if all else fails......I will be happy with my 36%, prefer the 50%, and know I can never get 100%.

You go girl ! That is awesome stat's. Love the water idea too. Thanks.....wow some of those days on the market are long. Guess it's that way because of vacant land.

Missy-Yes, the DOM are very long now.....I wish I could show my sales for the beginning of last year....I did very well, but in October everything changed.......we have a ton of unsold inventory on new homes, so this affects my lots.  Thanks for the comments, and have a good day.

Ann-Thanks for coming by to read this and my other Post....I love your area.....the land hasn't been selling lately, as you can see, but our Riverfront properties are selling by Parker, on the CA side :)  so it all evens out I guess.
