Wordless Wednesday: Ocean Storm Part 2

Storm Rolling Over the Ocean Part 2

So some of you have read my posts where I pick on my younger, twin brothers Christian and Christopher (aka Squid and Squidley... he he) Anyway, both of my brothers, in their spare time, can usually be found (or not found) fishing somewhere. They're usually on the "Sunglow Pier" in Daytona Beach Shores/Wilbur-by-the-Sea.

One of my brothers has been taking a lot of jobs down in South Florida where he conveniently has to do a lot of work on the beach. This means he gets a first-hand view of incoming weather changes. In this case, he got an incredible shot of a storm that was practically laying on the water as it came across the ocean.

To see the first part of this 2-part photo series, follow this link to see Ocean Storm Part 1.

And I hope you find this image to be as spectacular as I do! Enjoy. Courtesy of my brother, Christian/Squid =P

Seeing storms roll in like this can give you an eerie feeling.  But it is quite a sight at the same time.

I don't really know how bad the storm was. It was probably just a typical afternoon thunderstorm. But I wouldn't have been standing on the pier snapping pictures, acting like a human lightning rod >.<  lol  This shot was taken just moments after the first one. But what I loved about this one is how the clouds actually look like a wave. They're all the way down to the ocean, but the ocean is flat. I asked him if it was tornado weather and he said "Oh, it was just a watch; not a warning".... Gaaahh! Read my previous posts about my brother, then think "SQUID!"  That first shot definitely had some swirling action going on in those clouds!

Lisa - What an incredible shot.  That cloud looks more like a tzunami moving in.  I'd run for cover.

Lisa - That is a dramatic photo of a storm's edge!  It looked to be only minutes away from unleashing its power upon land.

Myrl- It was running right along the coastline. I'd have to ask my brother which direction it was heading. I'm hoping it was going away from the shore, considering where he was standing when he took it >.<

Very beautiful and somewhat Stephen Kingish. Some of our marine layers look like that, but since I don't live at the beach, I only see the cool pictures the next day in the newspaper.
