27 Comments on 1930's bathroom transformed - updated with realtors testimonial
Virginia- you did a fantastic job. I'm from Houston and there are a lot of home with pink or green tiles in them. By neutralizing everything else you gave the bathroom an inexpensive update!
Nice job Virginia, I would have considered that a BIG challenge and you made it happen!
Stunning!!! The bathroom appeared to be in excellent condition for vintage - so you did a great job celebrating it! Julie
Charlie, I also love the character of the house. That's why we emphasized the positive.
Ella, they are lovely homes. this is the first time that I've been able to show a home with such an interesting bathroom
Harry, Spruce it up we did.
Lynda, Thanks for the compliment
Sally, thanks We thought the tiles should 'shine' and not be hidden away. Pink was not the way to go with this bathroom
cheryl, Finding towels that also match the tiles was a challenge. I'm glad that it worked out
Kathy, These period homes do have certain challenges. They are a lot of fun too
Ginger I always appreciate your comments
Julia, that. I'm lucky that thee bath was in such great condition
Great job! I actually have seen that color of tile in a house before, and the choice of pale lavender sounds just perfect! The look is of a vintage boutique hotel, very nice!
Awesome, you have really brought that bathroom into this century and you have kept the charm of the room. I love the colors that you used.
This bathroom looks fabulous! Thank God you depinked it! It's not a gramma's bath anymore!
Wow that is some color, great new look, much more crisp.
Very nicely done! You were obviously up to the challenge.
You really gave the bathroom a fresh, crisp yet retro look. Great job Virginia!
Janice,
Thank you. My objective was to keep the 'retro' look yet a new look. Your compliments are appreciated.
Drew, You have a way with words. This was a fun challenge.
Mary, the color is very interesting and combined with the black and white floor all I can say is WOW. It was really fun
Sharron, Thanks so much
My goal was to take the grandma out of it and make it a delight for the new buyers
Mary Lou, you make me feel great. My goal was met
Cheryl,
You were one up on me. I've never seen that color before and it gave me a few moments of 'what am I going to do with it'
I had my painter on hold for a couple of days while I choose the color.
Virginia - Wow! Very nicely done!
Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures group.
Kathy
Kathy, Thanks for the feature.
Virginia,
The bathroom now looks classy where before it was very outdated. Beautiful transformation!!!
Thank you Virginia! You did a great job on this Grosse Pointe Woods house I listed! Patience, lots of hard work, an eye on how to bring the best out of this 30's house...a cooperative seller and, of course, a realtor who believed in you and was "in your court" (me!) - we did receive a great offer within 3 weeks of listing. I firmly believe it was due to you taking the time to prepare and not having us rush into listing.
