Are your clients green?

Whether you've worked with them before or not, it's important to be ready when green homebuyers and sellers come your way. Whether being "green" is just a fad or is here to stay, when a green client comes your way, you can be prepared to get their business, or not.

To be prepared for green clients, have the type of information available that they'll be looking for. NAR provides some great resources on buying green and working with green clients.

You can even consider getting NAR's Green Designation.

Also, be prepared to answer questions on what you do that's green. For example, using a real estate listing hotline (like our ConnecTel) is green because it eliminates the need for paper listing flyers and can be used again and again. (Click here to take a free test drive of ConnecTel!)

Any other ideas on how to green your real estate routine?

I have positioned myself as a "green" agent because Saving Our Planet is an issue I am passionate about.  Thanks for the links to some good information.

Most of my clients are more concerned about where the home is located, how good the schools are, can they afford the mortgage payments, etc.  Guess the green fad isn't that big around here.
