music fest! Finally!  The first ever large-scale festival on the beach is being held this weekend, May 14th-16th, in Gulf Shores, Alabama.  With four stages, two of which will rise from the sandy beaches themselves, the festivities will begin each day beginning at noon and continue until 11pm.  The special benefit dance parties will extend even later on into Friday & Saturday nights, making this a festival for the ages that you don't want to miss!

Headlining bands will include Grammy winners such as Zac Brown band, Trey Anastasio, John Legend, The Roots, Michael Franti, Ben Harper, the Black Crowes, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Ray LaMontagne, Matisyahu, Gov't Mule, Keller Williams, Guster, Alex B, Gift of Gab, Big Gigantic, and many more! Tickets are $79 for a single-day pass, $159 for a three-day pass, and VIP packages starting at $500. All tickets can be purchased at Serda's Coffee in Mobile, Blues Angel Music in Pensacola, Innerlight Surf and Sport in Pensacola & Gulf Breeze or Online.

Not only will this event be an amazing experience and anecdote for years to come, but it's also become a way for you to give back to the Gulf Coast in light of the recent Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig disaster.  The bands and event coordinators are doing their best to do everything they can to help out.  All profits from the festival will go towards the Coastal Conservation & Restoration.   Also, each attendee is encouraged to bring supplies with them to donate to the relief efforts.  Suggested donations include: blankets, towels, heating pads (with auto shut off if possible), large Rubbermaid containers with lids, heating lamps, Rubbermaid troughs (can be purchased at Tractor Supply), and large backyard portable pools like found at Wal-Mart.
