Video tour of Haiku Marketplace shopping center - Haiku Maui HI 96708
It's been a long time since I blogged about downtown Haiku Maui. Since then I have been making videos to help people get a better understanding of what it's like here on the island. This morning the Haiku Realtor Caravan tour was short, so I stopped here and got some images to stitch together a short movie of the Haiku Marketplace. This actually used to be a pineapple cannery when pineapple was king, and would you believe there was even a train that would come here and take the product to Kahului for shipping out?
Some shops and services that you'll find here at the Haiku Marketplace:
Nearby to the Marketplace you'll find Fukushima's Store where you can still get the best hot dogs on Maui. Across Haiku Road is the Haiku Town Center, another cannery turned into commercial space, housing a number of restaurants and other services. Next to this is the Haiku Post Office and a couple of other local businesses. There are many places to eat right here in Haiku, if you don't feel like cooking. All in all you will find pretty much everything you could want for a small country town.
Very nice video and I have never been to Hawaii and you are teasing VB! PS, I have a video group titled Express with videos at Activerain if your looking for another group to post Videos too.
Cool audio track with your video compilation. I like the photo album approach you use. Very nicely put together. I am sure the East Maui folks are pleased with your promoting thier businesses.
