- Rad Band Festival this weekend - not stop bands at downtown bars - with an estimated 100 bands to participate. THe events Starts Friday afternoon with the banks taking over 4 downtown locales including both floors of the Soapbox. There will be bands from all over participating. The locales participating include The Soapbox, 255 N Front St, The Whiskey 1 S. Front St, 16 Taps, 127 Princess St and Charley Brownz - S. Front St. in downtown Wilmington.

Thalian Hall is to reopen this weekend. The 19th century theatre has undergone a complete renovation. IT has new seating and wider aisles, new paint including ceiling frescoes, a new chandelier representative of the building's era and a new stage system.
There is a new play opening there this weekend - The Madness of May by RV FULK - presented by Thanlian Hall. Tickets are $ 25.00 and details about the new show can be found at www.Thalianhall.org.
The Greek festival will be taking place this weekend at the Greek Orthodox Church on S. College Road. Transportation will be provided from the Kmart parking lot on S. College. There will be dancing, food, vendors and all kinds of activities. It is Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
