KELLER WILLIAMS LA HARBOR
RED DAY 2010 ` WHY DO WE DO IT?
SAN PEDRO CA REAL ESTATE
THIS JUST IN FROM YOUR SAN PEDRO REAL ESTATE GIRL...
Today Keller Williams did it's annual community service project referred to as "Red Day!" We at the LA Harbor market center did a food drive to benefit Toberman House! Toberman house is an organization in San Pedro, CA that helps so many right here at home! The philosophy of RED DAY is to "Give where you live!" Giving back to our community is a fantastic feeling to be sure.
We organized a food drive that brought in literally truck loads of food for the less fortunate and struggling in San Pedro, CA. It was amazing to see the kindness and generosity of the community of San Pedro coming together and purchasing items that could help those in need.
We also were collecting items for Animals Rule, a pet placement and adoption agency that serves our local community! There are a lot of pet lovers in Pedro to be sure! People contributed lots of things from kitty litter to dog food to flea collars.
Being a part of such a great outpouring of help was heart warming and that is why we do it! We do it to serve our own communities across the nation. We do it to help those in need and we do it to make a difference. In this difficult economy, everyone is struggling and nothing is easy anymore. But reaching out and trying to help takes you out of your own difficulties and connects you with others in a way that nothing else can! I am proud to have had a chance to participate in RED DAY 2010!!
Thank you to all the residents of San Pedro who reached into their wallets and their hearts to help those in need!
