Virginia Renaissance Faire
This is a great time to visit Lake Anna Winery at 5621 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania. The Winery is having one of its special events. For those fond of history, education, and entertainment there will be plenty here for you to enjoy. Cost is $8.00, children five and under free. Biking in the ‘Burg
If you have an interest in biking there will be a mountain bike skills clinic, bike and helmet safety check, bike safety rodeo, maintenance and repair clinic held Saturday, May 15 at James Monroe High School on Washington Ave. in the City from 10:00 – 2:00. Free.
Fredericksburg Art Festival
For lovers of arts and crafts, there will be ceramics, watercolors, handmade baskets, photography, carved wood and handmade furniture and a number of other tempting items. Hurkamp Park located at the corner of William and Prince Edward streets. May 15-16, 10:00 to 5:00. Free.
United States Marine Corps Jazz Band
Program begins at 1:00, May 15 at Market Square, 907 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg. Bring lawn chairs. In case of rain: Fredericksburg Area Museum Mansard Gallery. Free.
Fun Ride at Lake Anna State Park
The Spotsylvanians Community Chorus
Presents their annual Spring Concert featuring music from “South Pacific” on Sat., May 15 at 8:00 p.m. and again on Sun., May 16 at 3:00 pm. at Spotsylvania Middle School, 8801 Courthouse Rd. Adults: $8.00. Seniors and students: $5.00.
