Mike, how is the auction business in your area? You look like you are very well educated in the field.  Our auctioneer, Denise Sharin just won the woman international bid call contest at the NAA convention.  We are very proud of her.

Charles,

Business is good.  I did 5 personal property auctions last week. 

I know Denise.  She was in my CES class and is a credit to the auction profession.  I think she will do very well in the future and is a great bid caller. 

Education has always been very important to me and I have been through all of the major designation courses offered in the auction industry.  There are very few auctioneers with the same credentials that I have.  That obviously does not make me better than them, but does give me a better chance.

I did not get a call from a lady yesterday?  I don't know if you are talking about that agent we talked about in our e-mail?  I am waiting on follow-up from her if that's who you were talking about.

I had an email from a woman from AR that was looking for an auctioneer.  I responded 2 hrs. after she sent the email.  She got me back saying that in those 2 hours, she had already found another local auctioneer.  I figured that since she found me here, she had probably reached out to both of us.

I talked with a woman in Polaris 2 days ago but referred her out.  She did not have enough stuff to make it worth our effort.

Hopefully the lady who contacted you has hired an OAA or NAA member.  Did you sign up for OAA yet??
