Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share that I am now a Certified Short Sale Negotiator. Since my business is heading in that directions the more training and knowledge I can gain the better! What is going on in the short sale world? From what I know most banks are streamlining their processes to allow for the seamless integration of short sales into their loss mitigation departments. BOA and GMAC both use Equator (formerly REOTrans) which, as word on the street has it, has made their systems more efficient. I'm testing that out right now with a "buyer walked" BOA transaction where approval showed up the day a new offer came in. So far I seem to be 75% of the way done in 15 days! Not too bad.

 

My current short sale intake has changed I'm now requiring a $750 processing fee, that goes to the negotiation company on listing acceptance. This just has to be done as many short sale sellers are losing interest in, what is honestly, a very long process. I'm a professional and as such I will give consultations for free, as most lawyers, but when you hire me you need to have some skin in the game as well.
