Are you looking for affordable condos and homes in a walkable, affordable Chicago neighborhood? Then look at the Albany Park neighborhood, where home buyers get so much more for their real estate dollar. Did you know that the typical two bedroom, two bath condo home for sale in Albany Park is less than $250,000, offers a buyer a 1300-1500 sf, and usually includes a deck and parking?

Albany Park is a hidden gem of a neighborhood bordered by Foster, Pulaski, Montrose and the Chicago River. It is located just west of Lincoln Square, but homes and condos are much more affordable. With new developments, vintage houses, rehabbed condos such as this gorgeous top floor condo home at 4948 N Spaulding, along with other affordable housing, it's no surprise many young families and college students call this neighborhood home.

Its a green, walkable neighborhood, where there are 15 parks and two universities, North Park University  and Northeastern Illinois University. North Park's picturesque campus is dotted with red brick buildings as well as deer, geese and wildlife. This region is really an oasis in the middle of the city.  Family friendly Albany Park features great schools-including public and private options-and two public libraries. Swedish Covenant Hospital has an excellent Montessori day care facility.

As one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the city, Albany Park offers global cuisine: Middle Eastern, Mexican, Asian, Eastern European, Italian, Swedish, Jewish and more. Of the critically-acclaimed dining options, Tre Kronor, Semiramis and Arun's are just a few of the local favorites.

Commuting to downtown Chicago (loop), or the suburbs, is easy via public transit and local expressways. There are several Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) stations. The renovated Kimball, Kedzie and Francisco stations on the Brown Line, and the Montrose Blue Line Station offer easy access.
