Didn't start to do all that much on here yet but can see where you are coming from.

I leave comments often, but If I realy don't have anything to say, I just leave it alone. 

It's reciprocity in action. Comments are another way that we 'meet' others in our online community.

I only comment on blogs that I find relevant and interesting. I just started posting to my blog yesterday but I don't really expect comments or feedback unless its from someone who appreciates my content or wants to add to it.

I find myself doing the same thing Michael.  Usually if someone is interested in what I'm blogging about, I might be  interested in what they have to say too.  As John commented so well, it is a way of meeting others in this community.

I don't feel guilty but should I?  I just go out and read people's blogs and if there is something I want to say then I'll comment.  But...if you scratch my back, I will scratch yours.
