Mary Crane Aligned With Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless

Mary Crane, a Realtor with Century 21 Commonwealth, has been appointed to the Community Service Committee by the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. The Community Service Committee has aligned with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless by sponsoring fund-raising events and creating a furniture bank where furniture is donated to the bank and then given to those moving into an apartment when leaving a homeless shelter.

Founded in 1981 under the wing of Family Service Association of Greater Boston, the Massachusetts Coalition was the first statewide advocacy organization for the homeless in the nation. "As a realtor, it is not uncommon for my clients to have too much furniture before moving. Rather than discarding what they can't take with them, this provides a terrific opportunity for me to redirect furniture to homeless shelters. Homelessness is a statewide problem and this is a program that all realtors could easily participate in. I'm very hopeful that I can help and that I can get other realtors to help as well."

Ms. Crane is the #1 realtor in the Century 21 Commonwealth Group (500 agents with 18 offices) and in the top 1% internationally of all Century 21 agents. Century 21 Commonwealth was formed in 2008 when seven highly successful, award winning Century 21 companies in the Greater Boston area combined to leverage local expertise to better serve the region's most discriminating home buyers and sellers.
