If you like knowing your neighbors and living in a tight knit community, Palisades on Palmer Ranch may be for you. This subdivision consists of only 43 maintenance free homes. The community is protected by an electronic security gate, and provides a community pool with pavilion, as well as full kitchen and barbeque's for gatherings. Palisades is not age restricted, and even with such a small number of homes, does offer 2,3 and 4 BR homes which range in size from 1600 to 2400 square feet. It is rare, however, for a home to come available in the community.

 

Located just at the edge of Palmer Ranch, Palisades is ideally situated within striking distance of Gulf Gate and its shops, the south causeway to Siesta Key, the Potter Park YMCA and waterpark, the Sarasota Square mall  and movie theaters, and all retail and grocery shopping, as well as restaurants and bars. Palisades is close to everything, but you can get away from it all simply by heading east along the sidewalk into Palmer Ranch. Only a mile up the shady walk is the Legacy Trail, a 17 mile biking/hiking trail. Keep an eye out for the families of nesting bald eagles which return each year, as well as resident sandhill cranes, ibis, osprey and egrets.
