CHILDRENS LISTING AGREEMENT

After moving several times with small children in tow I knew personally just how stressful it could be on them. Sometimes it seemed as if the move was a 'bigger' deal to them then it was to me and to me it was huge.

So when I decided to make real estate my career one of the first things I did was put together a Childrens Listing Agreement form.

I have used it at every listing appointment I go on where small ones are involved. The parents are so very receptive to it and the children love it as now they feel part of the process and so grown up.

Below is the wording I use but feel free to devise your own words that work for you

My Listing Agreement to Sell Our House at:

 __________________________________________________________

I know that my parents have asked Ms. Martha Brown of Long & Foster to help sell our house.

I know that Ms. Martha is going to work hard to find a family to buy our house, a family who will love our house as much as we do.

I also promise to help Ms. Martha and my family by doing the following:

_______Make my bed each morning

______Keep my room neat by putting things away when I am finished using them

______Helping to turn on lights when people come to visit our house

_____Helping Mom & Dad keep our house neat and tidy

I understand that if my parents say I have abided by this agreement, I will receive a $10 Toys R Us or a Best Buy Gift Card when we sell our house that I can spend anyway I choose. I prefer_________________

I wish I had one of these when my kids were little as the move would have been less stressful on them and on me!

what a great idea!  Not only do the kids feel apart of the deal but also have a reason to try to keep it picked up  :)
