When an "actor" can make more in one movie than a CEO or doctor does in a lifetime, it would seem that the left should properly scream, but they do not. At least the CEO or doctor does something to benefit my life, and the lives of others, in a personal way!

Jay * I'm trying to see if that is Denzel Washington in the picture. If it is, he has done LOADS of good for the Boys and Girls Clubs personally and has done PSAs for them. That said, Dems are STINGY with their own money while spending ours like drunken Democrats!
Easy. Most actors and athletes support the Dems.
Most CEOs and Dr.s support the Republicans.
Of course, there are exceptions, but that's just the way it is. Since the left is receiving the biggest chunk of athlete's and actor's contributions, things are just fine.
Jay- Excellent point, but to be fair, I think many Republicans have done more than enough taxing & spending in Washington. The only answer I see is to go back to what built this country. We need to quit electing people based on party affiliation & political clout and get people in office that realize the federal government is there to serve us & not the other way around. Let's vote out ALL of the professional politicians & get some small business owners, farmers and soldiers to lead us.

Lenn - I know and I agree. That is the hypocrisy of it all. Kind of reminds me of "two legs good, four legs bad." I think that is Dr. Sowell's point...
Bill - complete agreement here! What built this country is faith-based conservatism. Get rid of the RINO's too...

I don't have a problem with people's pay, Don. I think some earn not in proportion to the good they do but to the degree they appeal to pop appeal that lacks any substance or wants any real contribution.
