Millis Weekly Market Watch – 05/18/2010

Millis, Massachusetts

Activity in Millis has slowed down a little since the end of the tax credit.  A few new properties have come on the market but otherwise there hasn’t been a lot of activity.  Things will probably start to pick up a little as we head toward the end of  May.

Single Family Homes

Currently there are 43 single family homes on the market in Millis.  The houses have an average list price of $423,000 and an average market time of 88 days.  There are ten properties available for $300,000 or less. On the upper end of the scale, there are two property listing for $700,000 or more. 

New Listings

There were two new lisitings in Millis during the past week. The first is a 3 bedroom ranch on Irving Street.  The other is a 4 bedroom cape on Maple Avenue.  They range in price from $299,900 - $359,900.

Under Agreement

No properties went under agreement but one property was flagged to go under agreement soon.

Sold

One property sold in Millis last week.  It was a 3 bedroom, 7 room colonial on Main Street that sold for $327,000.

Historic and Antique Homes

There are 3 properties in Millis currently for sale that were built before 1900 (all dates are according to public record).  The oldest property is a colonial that was built in 1835. It’s a large home with 5 bedrooms and 12 rooms total sitting on over 2 ½ acres.  There is also a barn on the property.  The other antique home were built in the 1880s and are both near the center of town.

Condos

There are currently 21 condos on the market. The condo average list price is $282,000 with an average price per square foot of $179.  Average time on market is 242 days.  One new condo came on the market.  It was a 2 bedroom half-duplex on Dover Road.
