How we're saving to $40 to $50 per month in home energy bills

My wife and I own an older home that was built when home energy efficiency wasn't a high priority. We've seen our utility bills sky rocket in recent years, so we recently contacted Piping Plover Home Energy Solutions to help us improve the energy efficiency of our home. We're very glad we made that call.

The first thing Piping Plover did for us was to perform an energy audit of our home. Lee Schwartz spent 3 hours at our home, identifying all of the different ways that energy (and money) were escaping from our home. Shortly after his visit, Lee provided us with a summary of the audit and a list of recommended improvements.

We found this extremely valuable, because Lee provided us with the estimated cost and the estimated savings that each improvement would bring. Lee also showed us how federal and state incentives would lower the cost for each improvement. The end result is we could easily see at a glance the total outlay and the total return on investment for our list of projects. The great thing is that all of our projects are relatively low cost, high return items. Things like adding insulation, sealing with foam, and using CFL light bulbs.

Next, Lee is going to oversee the implementation of our projects. We'll have two different professional contractors come in to do the work. Lee will make sure the work is done to spec, and Lee will be completing all of the proper rebate paperwork for us.

As the economy rebounds and consumption increases, I believe it's just a matter of time before energy costs spike again. If you're interested in learning more about what Piping Plover does, please visit Lee's web site. If you end up working with Lee, you will learn he is an extremely knowledgeable, honest and service-oriented person.

Have a great day,

Even if energy was cheap, wasting money because a home owner did not update this, insulate that is waste, not good business. It hurts more if you don't when energy is high, but improvements yearly on a place should be par for the course, standard procedure.
