Find a Reason Why You Can

"Some men have thousands of reasons

why they cannot do what they want to,

when all they need is one reason why they can."

Willis R. Whitney, American chemist

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Find a reason why you can

It's easy to say I can't; so it gives a person a reason not to try.

If we're looking at a challenging situation we tell ourselves there's no reason to give it an extra effort and so we can step aside and give up without trying.

We can find many reasons why we can't do something and in time we convince ourselves that that's the right thing to do.

A person that tells themselves they can't moves into a negative world. They become a pessimistic about life and fall into negative thinking, negative results, setbacks and failure.

The person that falls into I can't, gets trapped into a downward spiral that pulls them away achieving their goals and success.

The person that's finds a way to say I can, becomes the achiever and stands out in life and in their profession. That person believes that they can. They will find a ways to successful navigate a challenging situation.

Creating an attitude of I can moves you into a positive environment of creating positive results and a pathway to success.

Find the reason to say yes I can and will. Put your yes I can into the actions to achieve success.

Lou -

This is a very good post....In general, those with the 'I can' attitude will likely survive this challenging economy.  I guess it could be considered a form of natural selection.  Those who possess mental toughness will likely prevail.

Have a great day!

Negative expereinces can adhere to the brain like velcro, positive expereinces can be like teflon - but the positive ones are what determine the qualifty of our lives today and tomorrow.

It's funny how we can justify just about anything to get out of doing the difficult.  It's so much easier to become the victim and blame the situation or others for our failure.  Thanks for the reminder that all we need is one reason to be successful and we can accomplish it.

Often, we have several reasons why we can and one doubt keeps us from success!
I hope your week is going well Lou,
