Until fairly recently many, make that most, people had not heard of Buckeye, Arizona.
A "sleepy little town" west of Phoenix, Buckeye is actually larger than the City of Phoenix, and is projected to be the fourth largest city in the country by the year 2020! What's that you say?? Well, with approximately 250,000 units planned and more being dreamed up every day, Buckeye promises to be the new Scottsdale. So where is it, tell us about it! OK!
Buckeye has over 660 square miles in it's building envelope, the population in 2004 was 17,550 and by 2025 is projected to be 345,000, and currently has 30 master planned communities on the books, the largest of which is a mere 36,000 acres!
If you take I-10 West from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, after about a 30 minute drive, passing Avondale and Goodyear, you cross into Buckeye territory. The White Tank Mountains are surrounded by Buckeye, and nestled up against the eastern slope of the White Tanks you'll find Verrado, a DMB Master Planned Community, with the Raven Golf Course, Main Street and and a feeling of small town America. You'll find us on the map in the yellow section (scroll to the bottom) surrounded by the Raven Golf Course and the custom homes and lots.
The White Tanks Regional Park at almost 30,000 acres is the largest regional park in Maricopa County. Biking, camping, hiking and horseback riding are a few of the recreational options offered here.

As a proud member of the Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce, I invite you to explore our home town - much to offer, much to do, and much to come!
