Caleb presenting Check to Mary Pope

Lot of suspense with this enormous check that Caleb kept a secret unitl the announcement that Mary Pope won the Project Blogger.

Everyone did such a great job and made each blogger proud to be blogging.

Congratulations to Mary and to each and every one of you. And the last standing man who still remained in the contest...Kevin (thanks again)

Everyone did such a great job along with the mentors for each of these new bloggers in cyberspace.

CARE Charity to Winner

The Rain gods were smiling throughout the Blogging Conference. For good reason. They have done an amazing job and deserve and got recognition for all their work.

But, then again we always knew they were great!

What a splendid time I had, finally meeting the real face behind the blogs.

I loved every minute of it and wish more of you could have been there so that we could have met.

Mary, it really was fun. There was too much and no way to see and hear everyone. I needed several me's. Wish you could have been there.

Thanks for sharing the photos Gena. Just three months until NAR in Las Vegas. I'm hoping to meet quite a few bloggers here in November.

Catherine, wish you could have been there. I feel as though I know you but it would have been nice to have seen the 3 dimensional of you, in person. It was a great conference and a wonderful experience. Yes, the check goes to Charity...the AR gods in their infinite wisdom did a bang-up job pulling Project Blogger off. Each of the bloggers, if my memory serves me correctly begged to be chosen and get the experience from the professional mentor...and what an experience they all had. In my book they are all winners learning from the creme of the crop!   And what thrill to see our own Mary Pope come our in first place.

John, not sure I will have recovered by then...when I got home, I felt like a mac truck had run over me. A lot crammed into a short time.

Lynda, I found myself in awe most of the time and forgot to take photos but just absorbed. What an experience. It was great meeting you, as well.

Ann, I couldn't resist. Jeff is such the photo guy! And a down right nice person. Be sure to ask him about his trip to Mission..quite a story that everyone should hear!

Jennifer,I can't imagine anyone not having a great time. AR did a bang-up job, Inman News and their staff  were incredible and kept things moving...not an easy task and very impressive.

Ann, absolutely there is nothing like it. Not sure I can even find the appropriate words for it. I feel that went full circle meeting in person the very people that I have so enjoyed reading and getting to know on a different level.

Hi Gena - having had the opportunity twice to meet others from here on AR, I know exactly the feeling you mean.  It's really special when you get that chance, and I hope to have more opportunities in the future to meet even more AR members.  It is great!

Ann, it's a hard thing to describe when you finally get to meet other AR members. I just couldn't put the right words together to express how it felt. I too, hope to meet more of the AR members. Wish you had been there so I could have met you in person.

Brad, likewise. There is nothing like getting to meet someone face-to-face and I loved being able to sit in the lounge and carry on a stimulating conversation with you and the other AR members.

Didn't realize I had reached the 100,000 points. I had planned on writing something exciting but it looks like I missed that opportunity. Thanks for noticing. We probably noticed about the same time.

Congrats to Mary Pope for winning. That's great the money went to charity.  Are you coming in November to Las Vegas for the NAR conference? - Charles

Charles, yes it was very impressive to see that huge check going to Charity...and what a great experience for each of the Bloggers to be studying from the best.

I don't know yet if I will have the opportunity to come in November or not. I'm still on the fence right now.  I have some things coming up that if I can get them done, I will but if not...then it's less likely.  Obviously, you will be. What would be a great idea is to get s blog going and give each of us some travel data for the conference...hotels, etc.

Nice tribute, Gena. I enjoyed that part of the event, too. It was fun to meet you, albeit briefly. Thanks for sharing this.

And congrats on reaching 100,000!!

Jeff, it gave me a warm fuzzy feeling to know I am part of such a great organization. And then to see the bloggers and their mentors all together in one place (the ones that could attend) was icing on the cake. What a great experience they all had and so much further ahead than those of us you had to muttle through and learn the hard way.

I was going to write something about reaching my 100,000 point era...but was so involved in writing about the convention that I forgot...so I guess this is my big moment in points. Thank you for noticing.

It was great meeting you. as well. I don't know how we managed not see each other after that first encounter...would have loved talking to you. It was a busy time and so much to see and do. Maybe next time.

Kevin, hey what are you talking about....Roberta Murphy and I were out longer and found you already seated and finishing up eating when we dragged in. You were such the guy!!  When you left and I had finished eating, I asked the waitress for the check and she said, "that nice young man picked it up, already." Can't tell you how many years its been since a "nice young man picked up the check for me!"  What a treat...THANK you, again and yes it was my pleasure meeting you.
