Consumers in your area will appreciate the information about the camps. Have a good day.
Ah the summer camp! Retreats for kiddies and worn out parents alike! :)
Gita. Hopefully. Thanks.
Lori. I know I loved the Y when my children were small.
My little boy would be all over this! What a grand looking park and what wonderful YMCA programs for your area. Our area is lacking a Y, but our Parks & Rec does a great job filling the gap.
Amy. It's that time of the year. I'm going to tour other facilities today and get more info for summer activities.
This reminds me I should get my butt to the Y before it gets any bigger. We have a very nice one in our community.
Hi Lenn! LMAO at Ann--you and me BOTH!
This is a HUGE deal for parents here and you've reminded me that this would be a great post for parents in the area. We have tons of camps available and the variety seems to suit multiple children's interests.
When my boys attended the Y camps, I used to help them to get their cabins set up and always wished they had an adult camp available for the parents during the same time--different location, of course! I know we could take a vacation at the ocean or in the mountains but, just the 'camp' fun brings back so many wonderful childhood memories! The zip line, canoeing, kayaking, target practice, etc. I could really get into doing that at my age too--and I DON'T want to be a counselor; I want to be a CAMPER! :-)
Ann Allen. I have fond memories of the Y when I had a house full of children and summer vacation coming.
Debe. Indeed. They Y was my refuse every summer. I had to work and I had 5 little ones out of school for 3 months. We took advantage of the Y Day Camps and the 2 week Overnight camps that were wonderful. For me, it was a REAL vacation.
Lenn, I guess if you have 5 little ones, you MUST have needed that 2-week vacation! OH MY! I had all I could handle with TWO--I can't imagine 5! I now understand why you are so organized and seem to get SO much done in one day! You really learned to crunch your time, didn't you?!
Have a wonderful weekend...
Debe. HA! Many folks have asked me how I got the training to run a company. My answer has always been.. . .
"I raised 5 children".
Of course, I had other training, education and experience, but the challenge of raising 5 children was the most critical.
