For those of you who haven't been there, Morikami Gardensis a must see if you live near or are visiting Boca Raton.  The gardens are rich in history and offer the visitor an exploration of the development and changes in Japanese Gardens throughout history.  The way you see this progression is by actually walking through and experiencing the different styles and features of this living artwork.  The Garden is also the home of the largest publicly displayed Bonsai Tree collection in the Southeast.  These tiny trees are fascinating and are incredibly relaxing to walk through and experience.

Here are a few of suggestions:

  • Bring a camera - there is a ton to see here and you will want to remember all of it.
  • Give yourself more time that you think you will need, our fist time there Cadey and I spent three hours walking thought the gardens and another 45 minutes in the museum afterward.
  • The audio tour is worth the inexpensive rental and will give you a much more informed appreciation of what you are seeing.
  • There is no sign at the beginning of the Gardens so when you get there if you want to see everything in chronological order, take a right out of the entry way.

Morikami is just one of the great things that the Delray/Bocahas to offer.  Cadey and I love living here, and we would be happy to help you find your perfect home.
