Everett is home to the Naval Station Everett, a state-of-the-art naval base that houses seven ships including the U. S. S. Abraham and U. S. S. Shoup.
Everett is the gateway to the famous San Juan Island archipelago at the juncture of the straits of Georgia and Juan de Fuca where seals, sea lions and whales live and play.
It's not uncommon to see a Bald Eagle, Blue Herron, or a killer Whale any day of the week, or to enjoy the barking of the sea lions at the Marina in the spring when weather warms.
Everett houses the second largest marina on the West Coast and has over 1600 acres of parks, trails and lakes. We have the best salmon and steelhead fishing on the coast.
Everett houses the Boeing Plant, the largest building in the world by volume at 116.5 million cubic feet. She holds the Boeing 787 Dreamliner along with the 747. Adjacent to Beoing is the Paine Field Airport that services Boeing. It's not uncommon to watch the new planes "roll out" for their test run and see them take off at intimate vantage points on the roadside. What a thrill.
Everett has a new Everett Events Center that seats 8,000 people to enjoy the Everett Silvertips Hockey Team, the Everett Hawks an indoor football team, along with popular singersand acts. Everett is also home of the Everett Aqua Sox, a minor league basebal team of the Seattle Mariners.
Everett is 60 miles from the Cascade Mountain Range and Eastern Washington where people enjoy a "desert" climate; sun and heat in the spring and summer months with extreme cold and snow in the mountains in the winter.

When you plan to visit Everett, bring your camera, you'll never know when you meet up with a pod of whales, a lazy sea lion lounging, a screeching bald eagle or a blue herron getting ready to dive for his daily meal. Don't forget your fishing pole, to get the "catch of the day". Or maybe, just maybe, you want to drop a crab pot to entice our curious dungeness crab for your evening feast.
Oh, and don't forget your "snow gear". You can travel 60 miles and be in the mountains where you can enjoy the snow, a Bavarian Village, Leavenworth that is so unique, you'll swear you are in Europe.
