Apple iPad Video in Baton Rouge homes I just got back from a broker open house in White Oak Landing presented by one of Baton Rouge's top listing agents.  She gave an iPad demonstration to lure us to give up some of our valuable time to see a "knock-your-socks" off property.  While I was impressed with the home resemblant of a palace with pool and deck overlooking a peaceful lake, what really "knocked-my-socks" off was the versatility this agent had already worked into her business with the iPad.

If you haven't embraced iPADs yet and are not informed, watch this official video and dream a bit about just how it will revolutionize our real estate business:

  OFFICIAL IPAD VIDEO

I now use tablet pc to present to my listing clients, sign contracts, generate literature, print brochures right in my listing appt., and leave with a fully listed home.  but dragging around that 8 pound tablet with extended battery pack requires a wheeled suitcase!   I am rushing out to get an iPad that I can carry in my handbag.  Then I can grab the cart from the car once everything is signed up and I'm in production mode.

For Buyers: This lightweight 10hr battery iPad can access mls data with a screen large enough to see easily!  Let your customer play with it while you are driving.  Apps like Homes.com, Realtor.com, Zillio.com give mobile capability to locate area homes via satellite.  Nearby pulls up properties on street where you are.

For Realtors:  Tools like Evernote lets you jot notes while you walk thru a home, and GoodReader and PDFReader Pro let you open all types of files such as purchase agreements.  Autostitch lets you create panoramas from pictures and edit them.

For Sellers and Buyers:  With picture and book capability, your listing presentations dazzle with brilliant colors on the iPAD.  TakeNotes replaces tablet signing capability.  You no longer need a tablet pc, just an iPAd.  And the light weight combined with a 10hr battery are impressive!

Mind you I am still using Blackberry, but I'm rushing out to get an iPAD.  So should every agent!  Folks this is the future of our business!  I think iPAD brings the fun and capability of iPhone into the business world!.

Hi Ann ~ I love the look of them and ever since I first heard about them all I could think of was blogging in bed. Looking forward to getting mine.

Add a camera, and a USB port, and that little unit would really rock!

Kymberly, there are great for listing presentations.

Elizabeth, yes the look and size is awesome...like holding a book and screen is easy to read and maneuver.  Just touch the screen and flip to the next page like a book.  And so lightweight!

Patrick, One of my appraiser friends has a camera on his.  Don't know how but he uses it for pictures.

Ann - I'm trying to wait until July to see what additions are made, as well as any price changes. I so want one and am always really excited to hear what others that are using one have to say! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing your iPad experience, Ann. I'm thinking about getting one around the end of summer, and hearing how agents are using it effectively in the field really helps.

Ann I got my IPad for Mother's Day and have been playing with it ever since!  I downloaded a listing presentation that is very professional, the ease of flipping the slides is awesome!  I wish I could access the MLS so I still use my laptop 90% of the time.  I think we will see improvements in the Ipad that we can add.  It is so lightweight I take it with me to the nail spa so I can read while I get my pedicure LOL

Paige,  I'm sure they will improve as time goes on.

John, I like you love seeing how other Realtors are putting technology to actual practice.

Marilyn,  Does your Board have a moble version?  Our mls has a mobile version that works on all cell phones like iPhone and Blackberry.  iPAD works on that as well.

For those who can't access the MLS on Mac, you may want to check out logmein.com

I use it on my PC, which stays in my office. I can log onto it from my Macbook or my iPad and access the MLS easily. Works great!

If any of you are having difficulty with some web sites and safari on iPad, try LunaScape. Just found it yesterday, and it is awesome! Those webs that weren't quite right before are now perfect.
