Ok, we are all spoiled! When you walk into your walk-in closet, you ALWAYS turn the light on. Except when the power is out!
Tuesday, the transformer that feeds my neighborhood caught fire, and fried the equipment. This was at 11 am. It briefly came back on, but then was out completely!
I think each and every one of us forgets HOW much we rely on the electricity! I had a closing, the figures came across, could not bring them up at home. My hair was wet, but no blow dryer or curling iron! The make up went on in the dark.
Luckily, they found another transformer and got the wires all repaired, but was 14 hours later! In the middle of the night when the power came back on, you find which lights you flipped on, and found there was no electricity, but now ( at 1 am) the house is lit up! You could tell in the evening, that most families watch tv, because EVERYONE was in the street talking. Great time to talk real estate!
