According to a report in TBR newsletter ( April 2010) , and based on study by NAHB consumer preference survey, the following are the design features that are most important to 55plus buyers :

1. Washer/Dryer in unit 90%

2.Storage space 84%

3.Windows that open easily 81%

4.Garage door opener 73%

5.Easy to use thermostat 73%

6.Main bedroom first floor 71%

7.Private patio 67%

8.porch 66%

9.Attached garage 65%

10.Bigger bathrooms 64%

Frank, I agree. I always choose doctors and dentists that are within fifteen minutes from where I live.

I want my washer and dryer on my main living floor.  It is the ONLY thing I do not like about my current home * the W/D are in the basement....all of these are GREAT features * thank you
