4 Comments on Marketing Tips #6, What it takes to market YOU and YOU!!!!!!
Some great tips. Yes, marketing to your previous/current customers is always the most efficient use of time and money and as you point out, usually the highest quality of referrals as well.
This is something I wish my very first broker had taught me. Unfortunately, she didn't. I had to learn a LOT more about marketing before it occurred to me.
In addition to staying in touch via a "mass mailout" I think it's important to add a personal note, and to sometimes pick up the phone and check in. Show some interest in their lives while you're letting them know you're still around to give them assistance.
Marte-these are things most agent never get taught by their broker or manager, but learn with experience if they are lucky!!
Thomas, I couldn't agree with you more, especially considering since it is much more effective (both cost and time wise) to focus on your existing customers then on potential new ones. Keeping in touch with past clients through phone conversations, marketing materials, and face-to-face meetings/events is essential.
