Warning:  Continual fence sitting may cause splinters in your backside.fence sitters - Iclipart images

If you sit on the fence long enough, you might get splinters, but if you jump- splinters may be avoided.

I'm not a pushy person,  I don't like my clients to think I'm pressuring them in any way.  Shopping for homes, mountain cabins or vacant land should be enjoyable not pressurized.

Still, I wonder how they will feel when this house or that lot is sold before they make their decision.

So, I ask them that question, "How will you feel if someone purchases this home before you decide?"

When asked, these buyers got that deer in the headlights look - the one that told me they didn't really think this house would be sold anytime soon.

They didn't listen when I told them, "There has been a lot of interest in this property lately," and they didn't believe me when I told them they needed to jump.

Then we see the home they looked at and liked,  sold... to someone else.

My buyers lost the home they wanted last week; I felt badly that they waited too long.

When you see something you like, be prepared to make the offer.

Continual fence sitting may cause splinters in your backside.

You need to jump off the fence to avoid the Splinters Of Regret.

If you don't believe me, read this post.  My friend Jane Peters stated the situation quite well, and left out the painful and probably unnecessary imagery of the splinters.

And usually they wait because of he or she. We can coach and counsel some until we are blue in the face. But SOMEONE knows better. Then he or she looks like a nut. Then, the next home they see and like, WRITE IT UP, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!

Thank you

This really puts things into perspective.  It is not me that is putting pressure on you, it is the marketplace.

Rich,

Very true!  Although, buyers don't always listen to us.  Good properties at reasonable prices are NOT hanging around.

All the best, Michelle
