Bill, I was thinking radio collar for the future re-locate, My father-in-law use to say taste like chicken.
You are quite the gentleman to help your neighbor Bill. And this is a great story with a happy ending, no violence and no deaths! Perfect!
Bill, I've never tasted turtle.. I'm sure it's just like chicken... Interesting story & way to save the day!
Bill,
Is there a law that says that you cannot put her in a cage until July?
Yes it does tate like chicken. Actually there are 7 flavors of meat on a turtle. All are excellent!
Don..Yes...it is called unlawful detintion!
Bill...
I found a snapping turtle this big a few years back. I also took her to a nice spot by the river where I hope that she survived and flourished.
I just hopw mine survives long enough for me to find her again! Like I said...I am getting hungary!
How cool is that? Let us know if you find her again in snapping turtle season... better yet maybe not;)
Bill, don't you touch that turtle! Think how old she is! (She's probably 88 like the neighbor) I can tell by the picture that she's a whopper. At that size they can take a good sized chunk out of anything they get ahold of. Let her alone and have some babies by the river.
I am surprised that you let this one go. but if it isn't in season...I can see why.
Bill - Wow that's a big girl for sure. You did the right thing...
Well, although you did the right thing because of the season...you still at least have an idea where to start looking again!
