HOUSTON JOB MARKET ON AN UPSWING!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Beam & Branch Realty TREC #547752

HOUSTON JOB MARKET ON AN UPSWING!  It was certainly great to read the top story in the Houston Chronicle this morning that in our area the job market is looking up, up, up!  According to the Texas Workforce Commission, Houston has added 2,700 new jobs in April and the unemployment rate dropped a little putting it at 8.4 percent.

Many of the large companies right here in Houston are finally on a hiring spree while new companies are still trickeling in.  It is a well known fact that our cost of living is one of the best values in the country.  Companies like the fact that we have a major port system, an International Airport, good highway systems, a diverse business market and a very steady housing market.

Despite our humid temperatures and a few mosquitoes, Houston is a great place to live and work.  There are many wonderful master-planned communities with excellent schools.  And don't forget ~ we Texans are a friendly bunch!

Grab your cowboy hat and boots and take a look in the Houston and surrounding counties.  Our agents here at Bandier Realty Partners, LLC are capable and ready to show you anything from a commercial site to a residential area!  We look forward to hearing from you!

I must say that Houston has a lot of humidity and way too many mosquitos... it is a nice place to live and work so long as you are in air conditioning inside.  LOL

Paula, I have been touting the positives of Texas for some time, as can be evidenced in my post from 2/13/10. Check it out here.

I recently took a class that instructed that it is good to reference and link to our own posts in comments to blogs. Thanks for the opportunity, I do love Texas and someday would love to purchase a home in the Ausin area.....someday
