Have you changed information about the tax credit in the mls yet?

I was looking up listings in the multiple listing the other day and there were many listings in which the agents said' take advantage of the $8000 tax credit."

It is almost a month since the deadline for tax credit and some have not had the time to change the information.

As a listing agent I update information in the multiple listing often.

I also take new pictures of listings if necessary. If there is snow on the ground when I first got the listing, I take new exterior pictures as soon as the snow melts.

Great reminder for us all.  I also see the comments of "Open House November 11, 2009" or some other date that is way past due.  The best are the ones that have been on the market for months and months and the comment still reads "Hurry, this one won't last!"

Very good point.  I read one last week that was paying a bonus is contract received by 2/14/2010.

Gita, very good basic advice. Look at the listings every once in awhile!  There are some homes with snow pictures from last winter in the MLS.

Gita, this is a great point, when I first started I thought you just put the listing into the MLS and forgot it, I've learned otherwise through the years...I also see a lot of agents not updating the listing photos, if it is summer put in a summer photo please....I must admit that I need to do a better job of this myself, but then again time is the enemy....

Lyn, If I have a picture with snow on the ground I go and take a new picture as soon as it has melted and do not wait till spring.

Dan, I agree.

Gerry, I garee it takes time but if we consider how much time we spend with buyers who do not buy, this is not much time .
