What do you think this does to real estate value? Based on the running video, scientists have increased their leak estimates to 70,000 barrels a day, or 2,940,000 gallons a day for 30 days that’s 88,200,000. BP, of course, has said the 5,000 barrels a day is just an estimate. The Exxon Valdez oil tanker Spilled 250,000 barrels 11,000,000 gallons. 1 barrel of oil = 42 US gallons

This disaster should be treated as a Homeland Invasion...with military level counter attack.  Private Companies caused this and cannot be expected to treat it with the urgency of an Invasion.

What I want to know is why don't they hook up an industrial shop vac to a container ship and start getting the oil out of the water???  My shop vac works great on liquids!

I agree Frank; we should go to war against this disaster because it truly is invading some of our most beloved coastlands.

Bob, that’s a great idea! I can envision the shop vac feeding a filtration system that would separate the oil from the water,,,, done!!!?????!!!

This is so sad for the environment, the people that make their living from the natural resources of the area, and for property values.  I agree with Frank.  It should be treated as a Homeland Invasion.  It is an invasion of our natural resources.
