On Tuesday Aug. 7th 2007 from 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Will be the 24th annual National lights out.
Located at 10250 Etiwanda Ave. (in front of the Devonshire police station in Northridge Ca.)
This is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. Last year over 34 million people from over 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide Participated
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
- Heighten crime prevention awareness
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs
- Heighten drug prevention awareness
- Strengthen police-community partnerships
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
