Take a deep breath and exhale ....... now look around you....... yeah we are still here.
It's been one long nightmare these pass years. Short Sales made my hair grayer, buyers made my martinis stronger and my fellow Realtors made selling (some of you) harder then it needed to be. February,March and April was non-stop 7days a week everyone wanted to write that contract before 4/30/2010. The ones that made it, they were focus and follow my advise to the letter. Some deals were canceled and some.... they got off my desk. I enjoyed working with 3 agents this year we were always on the same page. We had a common goal..... get to the closing table. Experienced agents know that its not a power thing.Instead it was this is what I know about Short Sales and this is want You know and from there we are able to get the job done. Then you find the other agent that won't shut-up about; I know, I do, I have, I sold, one agent told me his whole resume including how many MLS broads he belongs to...... only to find out that the listing is no longer under the his control the Bank had foreclosedand change the lock (LOL). Oh, Yeah and the agent that had the wrong sellers name on the listing and it take over a month for him to reach the correct one to sign the listing, by then my buyer wanted to move on to another listing. Then the agent that never returns phone calls, the one that didn't present my contract and by the April I was ready to SCREAM .....
But just in time I was offered a vacation opportunity that I could not find an excuse not to take it, so I packed and I started to sing "I'LL FLY AWAY". I didn't take my laptop only my blackberry, called the office & clients everyday in the AM or emailed and contacted my new assist (my son). But, I didn't worry about the closing, the new contract. I walked trails and sail on Lake Tahoe, ate and gamble and I take long deep breaths.
Ok, My advise for the next 7 months is TAKE A BREATH
