A group of 32 men and women graduated from the Orange County Fire Training Center in July 2007. The Orange County Fire Training Center is located in New Hampton.

This group of volunteers was the first required to complete 86 hours of training over the course of several months. The training included instructions in dealing with hazardous materials, as well as, fire assessment.

At the conclusion of their graduation, the volunteers raised a large American flag.

And these are VOLUNTEERS! These individuals not only have taken time to strenuously training, but have made a long term commitment to respond to dangerous situations without compensation. Most volunteer fire fighters have families and full time jobs, yet they find time to help others in their darkest hour.
