That's right! The Indianapolis - Carmel market was ranked in the top spot for affordability by the National Association of Home Builders...again! We shared the spot with a town in Ohio. The NAHB uses several criteria to determine what is affordable and in the Indianapolis market, they say that 95% of homes sold were affordable to the median income of the area, which is $68,700. Our market has held this top spot for five years! Visit this link to read the announcement that came out May 20th, 2010 : http://www.nahb.org/news_details.aspx?sectionID=148&newsID=10740
They have more data on their website including tables, historic data, etc for those of you who would like to know more, visit www.nahb.org/hoi
