This past Saturday we had the joy of attending Erin's flute recital as we have done for the last 5 years. She has been studying with Becky Chen of Brecksville Ohio. She is being accompanied by Eriko Izumida.

Barb, what fun!  And just remember that if she adds the piccolo to her bag of musical tricks, you'll probably be able to get her a full scholarship to almost any college.  Worked for me!  There were always tons of flute players but nobody wanted to play piccolo.  It's a solo chair and essential in any good marching band!

Barb - that was beautiful!  I played the flute and piccolo as well, and recently tried to pick it up and play it and it was all gone....lost!  Tell her to stay with it!  Thanks so much for sharing!

Thanks Lori! She takes after her music major Mama. Truth is she is a better singer at 15 than I was at 20 and I thought I was pretty good. And she will be better at the flute than I was at the piano and I thought I was pretty good at that too!
