I'm sure we've all seen it.  You know, the car swerving within it's own lane, from line to line.  Swerving CarAs you speed by so not to be behind the car when it crashes you look over, and it's someone texting on their cell phone.  You know what?  I've been guilty of it as well.  I work the Tacoma Real Estate market, and I travel extensively especially the I-5 corridor from Tacoma, WA to Seattle, WA.  I see this all the time.

John, I agree it should be an offense. I know someone that her daughter has run off the road twice while reaching for her phone.

Hi Ted!  Thanks for commenting.  As real estate agents we are all guilty and need to pay more attention to the road, and less to our phones.

I have vowed not to answer my phone while driving--never mind texting.

Hi Jewel!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by and commenting!

You can answer it, just make sure  you have a headset.  I mean with as much time as we spend in our car if we didn't use or answer the phone we just might never do so.

You're right. I see it all too often. They're cracking down in TX as well. It's about time.

Washington is the first state to make it illegal.  Seems weird to me.  I'm sure everyone will follow suit.
